ATLANTA, GA- UVA (-1.5) VS. GEORGIA TECH
Tony Bennett and UVA (12-5, 3-3 ACC) square off against Damon Stoudamire's Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (9-8, 2-4 ACC) today at 6pm. What are the keys to success for UVA? I have 3.

(1)Jordan Minor.
I purposely didn't say "Jordan Minor has to have a MAJOR impact" because you have heard it 25 times this week and don't need me to make it 26.
It is true though. Jordan Minor was essential to UVA's victory against Virginia Poly Tech. He crashed the boards well, was quick on defense, and is showing major signs of improvement on the offensive end.
An effective 5 man frees up the offense and benefits everyone on the court. It is a MUST and a huge key to success
(2) Boards.
Georgia Tech is a solid offensive rebounding team, averaging almost 11 a game which is 48th in the nation.
UVA has struggled all year giving up offensive rebounds. If they can limit the Yellow Jackets to less than their average and keep the second chance points to a minimum I like Virginia's chances in this one.
Georgia Tech is pretty deep as they have 10 guys who average more than 10 minutes, BUT if the Hoos can get Baye Ndongo, 6'9 Freshman forward, into foul trouble I think Virginia can have the advantage on the boards.
(3)Get To The Line...and Make From The Line.
Get the ball moving towards the basket and force this team into foul trouble.
There is a serious chance UVA is taking meaningful free throws at the end of this one. Two dribbles, a deep breath, and let it fly. MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS FELLAS.
Vegas has this as a close contest with UVA being a point and a half favorite, but if they can hammer home these points I think the road woes for the Cavaliers are put to bed and they get their first true road victory of the year.
Go Hoos!
