CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA- UVA (-23.5) VS. NC Central

“He’s an alien. He’s not from here. I don’t know where he’s from. On the bench, as you could feel in the arena, it was ecstatic. It’s amazing what he can do.”

Trutfully speaking, this quote could have been said about four or five Cavaliers on Tuesday's 77-47 rout against NC Central. Reece Beekman was all over the place with 9 points, 4 steals, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds, Ryan Dunn was a man amongst little boys all night long grabbing 6 rebounds, a freakish block, and adding 6 points, Leon Bond III turned into Dirk Nowitzki and simply didn't miss from mid-range, and Elijah Gertrude's play further proved that burning his redshirt may have been the best move by Tony Bennett in recent history.

That quote though, was said by Elijah Gertrude. Gertrude was speaking in reference to his seemingly unhuman teammate, Isaac McKneely.

McKneely, against Syracuse on Saturday had 22 points going 8-11 from the feild and 6-8 from three. McKneely, against NC Central on Tuesday night ad 22 points going 8-11 from the feild and 6-8 from three. He really just hit the copy and paste button, which is fine by me.

UVA started the game on a 14-4 run, which included FOUR straight three pointers by Isaac. JPJ was going nuts as the fourth one hit nothing but nylon and Isaac let out another primal yell as he did agasint Syracuse. I had a gut feeling he was going to put the fourth one up for a "heat check", so I pulled out my phone just in case he nailed it. Enjoy.

This video captures the play AND the player of the night. I would have to be an idiot not to choose Isaac for both. Afterall, "He's an alien" just like Elijah Gertrude said.

Isaac was incredible all night, but the 30 point win showed a lot more than just his individual skill. UVA moved up to the #22 team in the country according to Kenpom.com (again, the only rankings system anyone should pay attention to) and have the #4 defense. The Hoos are molding together as one unit right before our eyes. The leaders are preforming at a high level, the young guns/transfers are learning quick, and Tony Bennett has a couple young men in Leon Bond III and Elijah Gerturde that have excelled at creating (and making) their own shots.

UVA has a special team this year, I can feel it in my bones.

8-1. Go Hoos.

Next Up: 12/16 vs. Northeastern
