CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA- UVA (-23.5) VS. Texas Southern
Texas Southern had 14 points in the first half, and 19 points in the second half. That, my friends, is good enough for two "Tonys" in one game. A Tony, named after the one and only Tony Bennett, is when UVA is able to hold their opponent to less than 20 points in a single half. UVA fans can't help but smile when this happens, other fans around the country probably turned the channel midway through the first half. Shame on them!

The Tigers shot 26% from the floor, 19% from behind the arc, turned the ball over 20 times and had ZERO players in double figures. UVA on the other hand only had one player, Ryan Dunn, finish with double figures. Dunn had 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists, and 1 posterizing dunk that I think i have watched over 100 times.
Other Hoos that made a positive impact in the 62-33 win were Blake Buchanan (5 pts, 3 blks, 4 reb, and 1 stl), Andrew Rohde (6 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast, and 1 stl), Dante Harris (6pts 4 reb, 2 ast, and 1 stl), Reece Beekman (8 pts, 4 ast, 4 stls, and 3 reb), Leon Bond III (8 pts, 3 reb, 3 stls, and 1 ast) and Jacob Groves (7 pts and 2 rebs).
Although Dunn was the only player to score double digits, I was impressed with the way UVA spread the ball around allowing everyone to eat a little bit.
Player of the Game/Play of the Game: Ryan Dunn. This dunk was not only life altering for the poor soul that thought he should stand in the way, but it was also life altering for me. I will never be the same after watching this happen. What a play, what an athlete, and we must protect Ryan Dunn at all costs.
Areas of Improvement: Rebounding....again. UVA game up 13 offensive boards, and had the same amount of total rebounds against a team that is smaller and quite frankly a lot worse than they are. There is no excuse for that. Crashing the boards aggressively and GRABBING the basketball seems to be the issue here. Getting a handle on this and limiting the offensive rebounds given up will be vital to this teams success.
Final Thoughts: Pray for Isaac to come back from injury ASAP. We need him.
Next Game: Monday 11/20 vs. Wisconsin @ 6pm in the Fort Myers Tip-Off
