CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA- UVA (-14.5) VS. LOUISVILLE
The Hoos took care of business Wednesday night running circles around maybe the worst coached team in the ACC which resulted in a 77-53 victory for Tony Bennett and Virginia.
This is exactly the result UVA needed after a horrific loss to Notre Dame. This team proved their mental game is strong by going out and performing the way they did against the Cardinals only a few days after people started to question their ability.
I would prefer never to see something like we saw last weekend happen ever again, but it is nice to know that Coach Bennett has total control over this team and has trained them to learn from losses quickly.

Thank you Kenny Payne and the whole Louisville staff for brining joy back to Charlottesville, it truly means a ton to us UVA fans. Tony Bennett improves to 18-2 against Louisville and I would be willing to be my future mansion that dominance will continue as long as Kenny Payne is the leader over there.
Virginia improved to 11-3 and 2-1 in the ACC thanks to solid shooting, all-around efficient offense, and suffocating defense. The UVA way.
51.7% from the field, 10 three pointers (38.5%), 9 offensive rebounds, 20 assists, and only 3 turnovers. This game was never in doubt and was a major confidence booster for our guys.
It is still hard to get inside of Tony's brain and figure out who outside of the starting five will be getting the most minutes, but it sure seemed like he wanted Blake Buchanan and Taine Murray in that game.
Buchanan played 19 minutes, had 6 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, but also seemed to have butter on his fingers and lack some confidence around the rim. Confidence will come for him but clearly Tony wants it to come sooner rather than later hence all the minutes.
Taine Murray had a great game. 5-6 from the field, 2-3 from three, and even took the ball to the cup a couple times. Love to see that from him and I hope that continues as it was nice to see someone attack the basket aggressively on this team that isn't named Recce Beekman.
Player of the Game: Ryan Dunn. Racking up a double-double with 18 points and 10 boards, 7-8 from the floor, and a couple monster dunks. After a couple down games it was good to see Ryan Dunn showoff his athleticism and skill again.
Play of the Game: The dish, the jam, the flex. This is a play you watch wayyy more than one time.
Next up: 1/6 at NC State. I would love this team to be able to show everyone their game can travel away from JPJ. Go Hoos!
