The Wolverines are an all around team with high level skill from top to bottom. From J.J. McCarthy under center to the best running back duo in the country in Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards. From one of best offensive lines in the country, to a scary defense that allowed 16 points last year and returned more than half of their starters.

There isn’t anything I can see that could hinder Michigan from another Big Ten championship and their third straight CFP appearance. The only way they miss out on the CFP and lose two or more games is if they stumble out of the gate in Jim Harbaugh’s absence due to his four game suspension. The odds of that happening are slim to none because of the absolute cakewalk they have in the first four weeks….ALL AT HOME.
Let's get into the schedule.
Week 1 vs. ECU (W)
Week 2 vs. UNLV (W)
Week 3 vs. BGSU (W)
Week 4 vs. Rutgers (W)
Week 5 @ Nebraska (W)
Week 6 @ Minnesota (W)
Week 7 vs. Indiana (W)
Week 8 @ Michigan State (W)
Week 9 BYE
Week 10 Purdue (W)
Week 11 @ Penn State (L)
Week 12 @ Maryland (W) IN A CLOSE ONE 28-27
Week 13 vs. Ohio State (W)
That Maryland game could be a major trap game for this team. Coming off a tough game that I have them losing to Penn State, and with Ohio State still to come the week after, the Terps will be looking to take advantage of a vulnerable Wolverines team at home.
I like them going 11-1, but missing out on the Big Ten Championship game as Penn State represents the East this year. They pull a 2022 Ohio State and still make the CFP though.
