One day I want to be a fan of a program whose “down year” consists of an 11-3 football team with one of the nations best head coaches in Dabo Swinney. Compared to years prior, the double digit win season the Tigers had in 2022 was more stressful, and things didn't come as easy as they have in the past for them, but give me a break on this “down year” talk. I would kill for this as a UVA fan.

Cade Klubnik takes over as lead man of this offense, and will be joining forces with new offensive coordinator from TCU, Garrett Riley. What can we expect with Klubnik under center? Well, last year he showed glimpses of extreme potential, but he still made some mistakes that left Tigers’ fans worried about this offense in 2023. The truth is, Klubnik has enough skill to be the best QB in the ACC and having Riley as his play caller and four of their five offensive lineman returning will certainly help his case. Will Shipley will return as the Tiger’s lead back and he will continue to tear up ACC defenses all year long. If Clemson can improve their air raid this year, which I believe they will, expect Dabo to have this team competing for a CFP appearance.

The defense is a little wishy washy, but they still have two of the best linebackers in the nation on their roster, and have created a defensive pipeline over the years so they should line up well with every team in the ACC.

We will see this team in the ACC Championship game again this year but that's not the question at hand. Are they good enough to make it to the CFP?

Prediction: 10-2.
